Technology

Youngwoo R&D Center aims to develop high-performance coatings and adhesive materials through four core technologies

Material Technology

  • Development of original technology for high-functional adhesive coating materials through molecular design
    - Synthesis of materials, substitution of functional groups, and bonding of heterogeneous materials
  • Main materials such as acrylic, urethane, rubber, epoxy, and silicone are used, and materials such as ester, olefin, and inorganic particles are widely used.

Analysis Technology

  • Difficult to understand the physicochemical behavior of materials only by measuring adhesive properties and mechanical properties.
  • Understand the fundamental behavior of materials through wet chemical analysis, storage/loss modulus, rheological analysis of tangent delta, and thermal analysis.

Design & Mix Technology

  • Design of the curing system, the curing degree of the adhesive layer is quantitatively controlled.
  • Various component systems are applied considering the thermodynamic phase.
  • High functionality is realized with particle dispersion, and foaming technology.

Fine coating Technology

  • High-quality solvent coating and precision thin film coating technology.
  • Have eco-friendly coating technology as a sustainable technology, and are nurturing solvent-free coating and hot melt extrusion coating technology.
  • Have the technology to process PET/olefin/urethane film, non-woven fabric, and various carrier films of copper foil.
